A Walk in the Sun

Last night was pretty low-key for us, which was nice after such a busy few weeks. Michael got home from the golf range and wanted to walk to the store to get something for dinner. The weather was perfect–about 65 degrees and sunny. We walked up to the store and brought bratwursts and beer. šŸ™‚

I’m a fan of a lot of Deschutes beers. And yes, I buy beer because of cute labels. I’ve been lucky so far!

We sat on the back porch and grilled up the bratwursts and sliced zucchini.

I started reading “Chi Running” by Danny Dreyer last night. I’m not very far into it yet, but so far it’s interesting.

QUESTION: Have you read “Chi Running”? Do you practice it?

Dinner was delicious! The perfect summer food:

And the perfect companion:

Then we watched an episode of “True Blood.” I’m quickly losing interest in this season! I read the books years ago and enjoyed them and the first season was alright: kinda goofy but still enjoyable. I do not know what’s going on with this season! They must have gotten new writers or something. Anyone else losing interest in the lame dialogue and campy soap-opera acting?

Today is a Rest Day. I woke up feeling stiff and sore and then remembered that I did intervals yesterday! That ALWAYS does me in.

  1. TOTALLY agree with you on true blood! i loved season one but this is just way too over the top and really annoying acting!

  2. I do use Chi Running and I think it really works. I took a class on it and learned it that way. Others need the video to learn it. Hope you try it.

  3. The grilled zucchini looks great – a nice summery dinner!

  4. I’ve heard of Chi Running but don’t know anything about it. Just added it to my Goodreads list – thanks!

  5. I like twilight too.
As for True Blood, I just watched Sunday’s episode and I thought the story line was all over the place. It wasn’t on one story for longer than 2 minutes and I felt like there was just not a lot in the episode…..hopefully this was just one episode to get through and back to the story line. Otherwise it is too choppy and confusing.

  6. An evening walk + bratwurst + beer =sounds like a winning combination to me!!
