Food Remorse

I’ve been beating myself up since last night. I over-ate at dinner. 😦

We made burritos for dinner. In my burrito I put in: leftover quinoa, pinto beans, shredded cheese, guacamole, salsa, light sour cream, and sliced olives. It wasn’t overflowing, so that’s good.

I also split a cheese quesadilla with Michael. That’s where I should have stopped. The burrito was enough food. Especially since we had tortilla chips and guacamole….

SIGH! I seriously ate too much food last night. I wish I’d been more conscious about my eating. But today is a new day.

For breakfast we had scrambled eggs, 1 piece of bacon and 1 piece of toast.

Standard Breakfast

Last night we watched the Blazer game and I read “Nancy Clark’s Sports Nutrition” book. I took lots of notes, which I will post more of later!

  1. I can never control myself around mexican food. 😦 it looks yummy!

  2. I am sorry! I felt that way too yesterday. i kept saying “i’m sick, I should be able to eat what i want.” Ug! the good thing is, today is a brand new day!

  3. Just look at today as a new day and don’t beat yourself up!! Promise…you are better than that! πŸ™‚

  4. At least you were able to say, today’s a new day. I always feel super guilty about the night before but it’s not like you can do anything about it. And at least you went a little overboard on Mexican yummyness

  5. Yeah mexican food is soooo hard to resist.. especially chips and guac or salsa. But, think about it like this… its ONE meal you overate at. For me in my pre-weight loss days, I ate every single meal like that every day to the point of feeling overly full. The fact that you feel bad about it after one meal shows just how much you’ve changed!

    • Beth, you make an excellent point! I DID eat horrible in the past. I’ve changed my ways. A slip up once in awhile isn’t the end of the world because I don’t eat like that all the time. Thanks for the reminder. πŸ˜‰

  6. I tend to do that once a week. If we go out to dinner and I have wine, all my good intentions go. If it makes you feel better, my body actually does better when I do this. It seems to confuse my metabolism a little. I actually have lost more weight by incorporating a “cheat day” into my week. It might not work for everyone, but it does for me.
